The holiday season is here, and we’re excited to kick off our annual Toy Drive! Applications for families in need are officially open and will be accepted until December 5th. Qualified families must reside within Galt city limits, with eligibility based on household income and the number of people in the household.Families can apply in person at the Galt Police Department Community Room on the following dates:Saturday, November 9th | 10 am – 2 pm Wednesday, November 20th | 2 pm – 6 pm Saturday, November 30th | 10 am – 2 pm Registration will also be available by appointment—just call 209-366-7007 or email CSO@galtpd.com to schedule. Assistance will be available in both English and Spanish. We’ve also started accepting toy donations. Anyone can drop off an unwrapped, new toy at any of these locations: · Galt Police Department | 455 Industrial Drive | Mon-Fri, 7 am – 5 pm · Galt Food Center | 814 A Street | Daily, 7 am – 10 pm · Galt Smog | 515 N Lincoln Way | Mon-Fri, 8 am – 5 pm · Galt Parks & Recreation | 610 Chabolla Avenue | Mon-Thurs, 8 am – 5:30 pm · Any Fire Station in Galt If you or someone you know would like to be a part of the Toy Drive by offering a toy drop-off site or hosting a sign-up event, please email me as soon as possible. We’d love to expand our reach and make this season special for as many families as we can!
